So I've started work on my Assault on Normandy box set Heer, my lovely wife bless her has let me have my birthday present early! So out came the razor saw, greenstuff, and plastic card. I've never being keen on the fact that the formal collar is on the body which has the kneeling legs! So my Officer is well on his way

I've still a lot to do! but hopefully you'll get the idea. The map case and ammo pouches are basically plastic card cut to shape and the detail will be built up from greenstuff. Its abit of a long drawn out process, waiting for the greenstuff to dry and then build up the detail with more and more greenstuff. The cap has also had to be altered, I don't think it looks German enough. So still a lot to do but its going in the right direction, so thanks for looking cheers Russ

Oh, and happy birthday to you!

Cheers Robby, its not my birthday till the end of the month but thank you anyway. I could be tempted to have two a year! Especially if my wife keeps buying me cool presents, afterall she did buy the 1000point BA fallschirmjager army for Christmas (i did have to wait for that one) and now the Assault on Normandy for my 45th. I'm not sure what I did right to deserve her, but I am a very lucky man. I've managed to build another two Riflemen up this evening so I should be able to slap some paint on this weekend. So thanks again cheers Russ

FYI the ammo pouches are much to low they attach to the belt at mid point and in such a way that they are angled inward.

Jdginaz, thanks for the info, the one on the right is a map case. The ammo pouch is on the left, I will try and adjust it abit I've tried to keep it out of the way of his arms, I'm still not 100% on his pose yet. Thanks again for the heads up, cheers Russ
