"…I was able to shrink the vehicle down a bit from the original render but it is still a BEAST! It is about a foot taller than the modern day Stryker APC but considerable wider and longer. Roughly 3 meters tall, 4.97 meter wide and 10.15 meters long. You won't be parking this monster in a tight space without smashing a few bumpers.

This vehicle is as heavily armored as a main battle tank, weighing in at over 70 tons in rides on six huge solid tires, each with an independent drive system that allows this vehicle to spin in place, in the same manner as its tracked brethren.

The nose section is taken up by the reactor, this is the same full size reactor found on the Leviathan Crusader and Mortis, allowing the APC indefinite range and access to impressive speed… The reactor in this vehicle is capable of recharging equipment and the super capacitors found on lighter vehicles and Leviathan, in this way, the ‘Keilerkopf' becomes a central part of any forward unit's logistics. Everything you need for planetary conquest.

Even with its monster size, the interior is still a bit cramped, eight riflemen are seated in the rear with just enough room for a trooper to stand, equip and egress. Two riflemen take up the ‘shotgun positions on either side of the APC's driver and gunner and would likely use the side doors when possible."

Ugly looking beast

Which is a sure sign I will buy one

ordinarybass22 May 2013 1:14 p.m. PST

Glad they shrunk it down from the original concept which just looked out of scale. Quite impressive now.

Damn! That's one cool APC! I'm having a hard time staying away from 28's. Maybe they'll do this in 15mm one day ……

Cheers,

Kev

that thing is bigger then a M1a3 tank..

Hull length 7.92 m
Width 3.48 m
Height 2.44 m

10.15 meters long
4.97 meter wide
3 meters tall

your going to need custom built roads and stuff to drive it.

I think I just had a moment, I have a lead mountain, an MDF mountain and the plastic mountain is going to be growing as soon as this is released.

Katzbalger22 May 2013 6:07 p.m. PST

That looks pretty neat--it kind of has the Sdkfz 251 vibe, but with a sort of 21st century aesthetic tacked on.

"your going to need custom built roads and stuff to drive it."

Should be okay to drive on anywhere an 18 wheeler rig can go.

Ark3nubis23 May 2013 1:59 a.m. PST

Yeah, its a 3x scaled up SdKfz 251 but with wheels.

Looks immense mind, although I wonder how it would play when movement for vehicles is typically around 6"-12" when its nearly 7 1/2 inches long…

Lardie the Great23 May 2013 4:28 a.m. PST

It maybe big but if you google Gefas, you'll see a large modular German concept and on close inspection you'll notice it really is huge, kinda like an MRAP parked next to a hummer (which to me, looks like someone trying to mix 28's with 15's in the same army)the future is bright the future is huge! ;)

Ark3nubis23 May 2013 5:06 a.m. PST

Holy sherbert, just typed Gefas in and there it is… A beast, but only 4 wheels, I would have thought the 6 were better, or maybe 8 rad…

Lardie the Great23 May 2013 9:32 a.m. PST

I think there are 6 and 8 wheeled variants, really cool vehicle, but I think the programme has been shelved.

I love this model, looks like the most realistic sci-fi model I've ever seen! Big is good, models tend to be on the small side when compared to the figures, but this looks very good!

The Pied Piper24 May 2013 8:36 a.m. PST

Take a look at some of the current British kit:

Mastiff is 7.94m (Length) x 3.2m (Height) x 3.2m (Width)

Wolfhound is 7.08 m long x 2.74 m wide x 2.64 m high
