Why not add a Like/Dislike (or thumbs up/thumbs down) comment click? Frequently when browsing the boards I may see a message that I don't have time to respond to, or that says very well what I would say (so there's little point in repeating it). it would be nice to be able to quickly indicate like/dislike with a button click.

Hasn't this been voted down enough times yet?

Does it really need to be voted down again?

Do whatever you wish, add like, dislike, unsure, insecure, but only if it is possible to switch it off.
if that is not feasible then I am against the degeneration

Do we have to go through this about every 3 or 4 months, like clockwork.
NO!

what is this insane "meed" to make TMP like all the other sites? NOT NEEDED.

Another old fart who thinks it is a stupid idea.

Why do people care so much about total trivia ?

14Bore22 May 2013 2:59 p.m. PST

Lets not. The unpopularity votes around here are enough.

Rrobbyrobot22 May 2013 3:06 p.m. PST

If you want to be on a social media site then, by all means, please do so. Now, GET OFF JOHN"S LAWN!

I want a dislike button on Facebook…

Cerdic23 May 2013 5:53 a.m. PST

If someone has something to say then say it, contribute, and I will happily read it. Otherwise I don't really care who likes what.

I see no real value in such a thing.

Meh.

The BBC discussion forums have a like/dislike feature.

It is actually quite effective and reassuring when swivel eyed loons of whatever persuasion post their stuff. Not that we have any of those on TMP.
