I believe SHAAB is Arabic for young boy or man. Don't know how that would apply to this weapon. |

Thanks Charles, I havenīt found that meaning but all other meanings I can find are; Shaab, Armenia or Mayakovski

Sha'ab, Israel
Al-Shaab CSC, a multi-sports club based in Sharjah, UAE

or as a slang term
