Surely the book must be by a descendant of one of the girls?

Yes it is as the story was told to her by her grandmother.

Hello All,
This past week I just finished reading "Alone:Yet Not Alone". It is a very interesting story that was handed down through generations of the authors family. It deals with the captivity of the two family girls in Penn Creek. The story talks of the trials and hardships that they faced. There are no military actions in this story, except for the escape of some of the natives and their captives from Armstrongs attack on Kittaning(Kittany). Although it lacks military action it is a good true to life story of two young girls in captivity, and their strong faith that sustained them. I will be looking forward to the movie.
take care,
Keith
