After I get it and look it over, it'll be off to the resin casters!

While not a bad idea, unfortunately you can't do pre-orders with paypal!

TheRatGod21 May 2013 2:55 p.m. PST

Well tidy.
Looks like a big 6mm drop pod to me.

Yeah you can, just take the money.
That is how I do my pre-orders, take the money, print the shipping stuff and post when the stock arrives.

Easy Peasy.

Isn't that what Indiegogo is for? (Just kidding)

Now that you have some actual physical objects to show, it's time for the Kickstarter!

Haha, I've thought about it, but I don't want to be beholden to you crazy people!

grin

Just kidding… I looked into Kickstater, and to cover the kickstater costs i'd have to increase the prices. I hope to have this stuff released within a month (for the drop pod) and 2 1/2 months for the miniatures… so hopefully it shouldn't be too much of a wait!

Great idea!

You can take pre-orders through paypal. It's in the button code… Some setting that registers the order but does not charge it. Then it sits in holding till you give it the clear to charge.

I could probably program a button for you next week if you'd like. Too burnt out and time constrained to do it this week.

Ah, good to know, that makes sense that they'd offer that.

I appreciate the offer too… but hopefully this will be ready for sale within three weeks or so, so I probably wouldn't be doing pre-orders on this one grin

Nice, I need some DPs for my Blood Angels, but I think this one maybe to small, how tall is it?

head spigot22 May 2013 1:44 a.m. PST

I hope you have enough of these ready to go when the minis are ready, I'd love to pick up a 5pod+5squad bundle!

Mad Mecha Guy22 May 2013 2:11 a.m. PST

According to Steve who designed it, it is 39mm wide and 29mm tall. I believe it's shown on a centimeter grid above.

As soon as I get it i'll post some size comparison shots.

dwartist22 May 2013 5:55 a.m. PST

Spiffing!!

John Treadaway22 May 2013 7:28 a.m. PST

Now that is a lovely little model :)

I reckon it could even be used as a single-person , insertion-pod for a Grymn/Space Dwarf in 28mm scale/size.

I'll be watching this one and look forward to seeing more pix.

BigNickR23 May 2013 12:03 a.m. PST

make 'em twice as big for my 28's and i'll have a check ready TODAY

Chatticus Finch23 May 2013 7:16 a.m. PST

AWWWWWW, NICE!!!! I really hope you do a self-deploying walker, because if that's what the drop pod looks like, the walker model would look AMAZING!

Personal logo MrHarold Sponsoring Member of TMP23 May 2013 4:25 p.m. PST

Got the 3D print today, and it's awesome! I've very excited to get it cast up. Here are some pictures with an assortment of minis. A GZG NAC and GZG NI, a Khurasan Miniatures Insurgent and a Rebel Minis Shular.

want naow

Mako1123 May 2013 4:33 p.m. PST

That looks very nice, and how 3-D prints should be, e.g. without all those ugly, striation lines on them, and with the ability to retain very fine detailing.

If you don't mind my asking, who did the printing, and what was the resolution those were printed at?

Personal logo MrHarold Sponsoring Member of TMP23 May 2013 4:43 p.m. PST

Thanks guys :)

I had moddler.com (moddler. com) print and finish them.

Not sure on the resolution, since I didn't get that specific information. But it was printed on the Perfactory Mini printer.
