David over at Splintered Light Minis sent me some of his newest RPG Characters packs. I really like them all but these jumped out at me:
What do you think about using the top two left minis as my Brotherhood without Banners Generals. I also need to find a mini for Arya.. Thoughts? |

I'm pretty sure he's referring to the Brotherhood without Banners from George Martin's Song of Ice and Fire. I'm surprised miniature manufactures have not started "Wolves of the North" and "Lions of the Rock" lines to capatilize on I&F's popularity. Plenty did so for Tolkien "off shot" lines. Right now a collectible figure company has the license with no intent to make gamer useful figures. TomT |

Well, DOC MCB was trying to make a joke about the two figures referred to -- top left two -- being WOMEN and therefore Brothers in only some senses. Looking back at the photo, I assume now that it is the top two RIGHT figures being referenced -- and indeed they would make good leaders for the Wall -- and also that rebel Mike was either looking at a reversed photo or else needs to review his left and his right. From what I can recall of the books an archer and singer/musician were leading members of the brotherhood so the bottom left two would do. |
