I'm incredibly pleased to announce that PaperTerrain has been brought on board with the new Alien Dungeons "All Quiet on the Martian Front" kickstart project. I was fascinated by this ever since I saw their incredible miniatures at the Cold Wars convention. Now I'll be working to produce some buildings for the All Quiet battlefields. The feature where you can lift off the building's exterior to reveal the ruin underneath will be just perfect for the Martian heat rays :)

Very clever. Each day another surprise.

Nice direction.

:)

Very nice. Means I don't have to go crazy to get some U.S style buildings. Even though I have a feeling my martians may get to Europe

Yep, this is a very good thing.

What the paper buildings or the martians getting to europe? :)

Will there be any civilians, either standing around to stare at the aliens and/or those running for their lives?

And perhaps some civilian resistance fighters?

Well, that's not something I have any control over. I do buildings, not figures. :) But I seem to recall some mention of civilians on the All Quiet website.

As per the other post, yes to civilians. Though as it's 15mm I have stacks of basic 'fodder' civis for my riot/zombie games. Time to harvest!

Great options there Scott with some of the buildings. Not knowing US architeture rather in your hands. I should think plenty of towns still looking a bit classic 'wildwest' still at 1905-1908? Big cities are another matter.

Yes, there would certainly be some buildings from the Wild West and Civil War days still around. I'm doing some research now on proper types. I must say I'm sorely tempted to use the sets from "The Music Man" movie as a template:

"Oh we've got Martians,
Right here in River City!
With a capital "M",
And that rhymes with BEM,
and that…"

er, well, you get the idea :)

One of the beautiful things about paper models is their ability to be scaled.

I look forward to modifying some of my existing 25mm stuff.

Scott I believe you are dating yourself with that particular idea. I can just remember seeing that in the drive in when i was rather small.

Oh, and congrats on getting added into the project. You know I am a major fan of paperterain nd this only adds to the pull to get into all quiet.
