The first May Bank Holiday Weekend saw the now annual gathering of members of the WD3 Forum for a big game in Ayton. The first two years were C18th ImagiNation themed games but this year we moved to the ACW – with a little ImagiNation. And Steam Punk. And a lot of artistic licence!

Very nice! Where did you get the Zeppelin miniature? It's a beauty!

Count Belisarius24 May 2013 8:44 a.m. PST

Made by Paul B:

"The 'Zeppelin' was part scratch built using the gas envelope from a plastic kit of the Hindenberg (Revell I think). The gondola was modelled using bits of a VSF resin steamtank I had and other bits were added from plasticard and brass rod. As I didn't want to put it on an oversized base I cast a crag/knoll from metal using a simple wet sand mould to make a decent lump of weight."

It looked great and killed all my gunners!

This is inspirational stuff -who makes the Mexican lancers?

tkdguy24 May 2013 11:53 p.m. PST

Thanks, Count Belisarius. I'll check Revell's website and see if the Hindenburg is available. I have a couple of Zeppelin NT models myself. I think it's time to add to my collection.

Mexican Lancers are Old Glory I believe
