Hi all, I've just posted a report on our game run yesterday which completes the Vimiero scenario of Vimiero Hill and Action at Ventosa.
The game like its predecessor was a close run thing with the French coming out on top again. The scenario presents lots of questions for both sides on getting the best of the situation. I will certainly be playing this one again. As always just follow the link to JJ's jjwargames.blogspot.co.uk Jonathan |

Nicely presented game. Couple of questions: How did you enjoy using the C&G rules? How suitable did you fined them to a multiplayergame? Would a multiplayer gamer present particular problems since the rules are governed by a computer with only one input person? |

That looked like a lot of fun. Are you running this as a campaign? |

Hi 138sqd, I really enjoy C&G, they capture all the"granularity" that I want in my Napoleonic rules, without giving me a head ache. They really let the players get on with commanding their troops whilst the system takes care of everything else. With regard to multi player games, the designer of the rules has played a refight of Talavera as a multi player event which has been reported on and is recorded on the yahoo group with great pictures of the game There is also the following great AAR link In my experience the need to input data to the computer simply replaces the need to co-ordinate the play when using paper based rules. Hope that helps Jonathan |

Hi urak hai, I will run a campaign at some stage, but while building up my collection, I aim to run a sequence of games focussing on British battles in the Peninsular War. As I play them I will write them up and make the scenarios available for others to use |

138 C&G is fine with multiplayer, the only drawback is that it all comes down to one bottleneck-the guy inputting the data. I have played this with 8 playerrs and it goes just as fast as it would with 2. Easy rule set-fun to play. Those are some handsome troop Jonathan. |
