So the wife and kids and I went with my friend and his family down to Atlanta this weekend and attended the first CMON Expo..I have to say, it was a lot of fun! As it was their first year, the event was relatively small. But what it lacked in quantity, it more than made up for in quality!

There were a few vendors there, although almost all were directly linked to CMON products. Lots of game tables set up
and lots of players utilizing them. They had a great CMON staff milling about and helping new players learn the ropes. My friend bought Zombicide and we spent most of the day playing several rounds of that. I had so much fun, I came home and ordered it! Even our two oldest boys, both nine, were able to catch on quickly and join in.

There were discussion panels about the various games, painting tutorials, and lots of Zombicide and Super Dungeon Explore minis laying around that you were free to pick up and paint. My friend and I both tackled a couple…then my wife painted a couple of zombies and put us both to shame.

All in all, it was a well organized event. If you can make it next year, I'd highly recommend it! I think Battlescapes will look into being a vendor there next year…

That is cool. Did you get any pictures?

Sadly, no…I was too busy playing! But I know another guy did…I'll try and get some on here.

That would be great. Did they have any Relick Knight previews there?

I always forget to take pictures of games at conventions. Sometimes I wish I had since every now and then you see something that was a neat idea and can't recall what it was exactly. Stuff like what was used for terrain, or a cool looking figure.
