If ten years service was required for admission into the OG, wouldn't every single private in the OG be wearing at least two long service stripes?

I've never seen them portrayed that way. So I'm thinking that the OG did not wear them. Is that so?

I do not know about the stripes, but am wondering if you still want to paint figures on commission?

Sent you an email about some Perry Colonials and did not hear anything back. I am interested in adding these to my collection and looking for a painter.

Please let me know if this is something you might want to do.

Thanks.

Kevin

I have seen long service stripes on the Old Guard's sleeves; aurore for other ranks and gold for sergeants and above. As you say, Widowson, they should all have at least two stripes. Interestingly, Perry Old Guard figures do have two long service stripes moulded on their sleeves.

Is it not about long service in the Guard itself, surely?

Kevin,
I believe I answered your message on the TMP message board. You were talking about AWI figures, right? What scale? Not really sure I want to try to make a living painting figures, and am in the process of figuring out what to charge if I do. Please send any such emails to widowson1@att.net

Before I embark on painting new figures, I'd like to get rid of the painted 15mm figures I already have. I'm willing to part with these for about one dollar each, but you have to take the entire collection. It's about a corps of French and Italians. Send me an email at widowson1@att.net, or go to the Marketplace Boards and find them.
