Does anyone know how British cavalry Trumpeteers dressed during the War of Spanish Succession? Did they wear reversed colors? Was there any rhyme or reason or completely up to the Colonel?

the question might extend to the officers' dress as well. it was a great period for colonel's whims.

Bernhard,

You might want to post this in Fighting Talk forum on 'The League of Augsburg' site as there are people who know this information but do not frequent TMP.
