Hi, I just moved to the McKinney Texas. Wondering where are any gaming groups for FoW or historical games in the area. Thanks for replies! :)

There are a couple.

Pilum40 on this board can help you out.

Battle Pholx, Texicon starts tomorrow in downtown Ft. Worth & runs through Sunday. There is a FoW tournament & a few FoW games scheduled during the con. There's several historical games on the schedule. There's also a 54mm AWI game on Sunday.

Here's a link to the con:

Welcome to McKinney. What side of town do you live on? I'm near El Dorado & Lake Forest.

Thanks for the link Elaine. Probably won't be able to make that con weekend but I'm sure other stuff will come around.

I just moved into the Saxon Woods apartments so I'm close by. :)

Battle Phlox…welcome to town! The best place for FoW games in the area is Texas Toy Soldier in Dallas. The shop is at Spring Valley between the Tollroad South and Marsh. The owner's name is Allen Eldridge. He's one of the good ones in the area. They are just now putting on a summer campaign. Looks as if you're just in time. I'm running the 54mm game at Texicon this weekend.

Please drop me a line off TMP @ pilum40@sbcglobal.net I'll be glad to fill in the gaps in this message. Again…give Allen a call at TTS. TTS and the Lone Star Historical Gaming group both have Yahoo groups so you can stay relatively updated.

I have a gaming house in Red Oak Texas. That's about as far south from the center of Dallas as you are north from the center of Dallas. Again…drop me a line…I'm glad to point you in the right directions.

Area 51 is okay but it it a bit far from you as it is Grapevine. Join the LSHM Yahoo Group and the regional one for your area. Lots of gaming contacts. Also, Steve is a Thursday Night Irregular; look them up, they have a website.
