Still more evidence that even hardened gamers nurture a romantic streak. Last time it was an adorable proposal:

This time, the local game club's monthly meeting has become a celebration of a 20-year wedding anniversary:
Jennifer and Eric Paperman met while gaming at the Studio of Bridge and Games and were married in September 1993. To celebrate their 20th anniversary, they are taking over the September Game-a-Thon and renaming it JenEriCon.Jennifer and Eric will be providing food (bagels in the morning, pizza and cake in the evening) and beverages (soda and milk). They will also pay the admission for anyone who brings them an anniversary card. To qualify, the card has to at least have the following words: Anniversary, And, Eric, Happy, Jennifer, 20th.
The SWA has arranged to have both the front and back rooms at the Studio of Bridge and Games (aka Price Chopper Community Room) at 1639 Eastern Parkway in Schenectady. So there'll be plenty of room for everyone who wants to help Jennifer and Eric celebrate this joyous milestone.
Mark your calendars, and we hope to see you there!
Ha, ha, JenEriCon indeed – they organized and ran the Genericon gaming convention back in the day. Nice in joke for us locals.

If you're in the Albany-Schenectady-Troy NY area come September, stop on by and bring a card for the happy couple. They're good folks and deserving of congratulations – and you get free cake, too. Even the most twisted, misanthropic, emotionally-scarred soul likes cake. :)
