Any manufacturer for or a how to for a roof tarp for the Battlefront M2 & M3 halftracks?

Off the top of my head, make the bows out of bent wire and super glue them to the vehicle. Make the tarp out of tissue paper and glue that to the bows with white glue. When that's dry, moisten the paper with a damp sponge (the paper will tighten like real canvas) and allow to dry. Paint a dilluted white glue and water mix and let that dry, then paint.

Try Heer46. If you contact the owner at heer46.blogspot.com he can set you up.

If you find tissue paper too thin an fragile, you can use regular paper, and just ball it up/crinkle it a lot, before smoothing it out, and painting/gluing in place.

Another option is fabric, some kinds would probably make a perfect match. Using the method Rhino gives for the tissue paper.

I'll try the Heer46 route before I attempt modeling. It looks to be the easiest solution. Thanks for the replies.

I finally ordered 2 sets of the US and 1 of the German planen from Heer46. I am quite happy with the product. With a small amount of clean-up and tweaking they fit right and look really good. A simple way add variety.
