One of the best Campaign Logs I've ever read. This isn't mine, but I recently stumbled across the continuation/completion of this 15 part campaign from the Necromundicon website. link Note that you sometimes have to keep going back to the top of the page to go to the next installment. This has long been one of my favorite websites, but it can be hard to navigate and to figure out what has been done lately. I read this campaign back when it was on the third installment, but didn't realize it wa now complete. One of the nice things about the campaign is that it shows alot of close-up and in-action shots of terrain that is featured elsewhere on the site, but not shown from the same angle or with the same clarity. It uses the homebrew rules as seen here: ironhands.com/votoms.htm Some discussion of the miniatures used here: ironhands.com/votoms.htm Much of the terrain is shown separately here: ironhands.com/necro.htm A few examples of the pics on the campaign pages.

Yeah I plan to use my 6mm gzg for mine. Thinking of using fubar rules for simplicity. And am going to use dark realm as armor hunters.,.. Votoms is a fairly recent discovery for me- now it's an obsession! 8) |

This campaign was what inspired me to get GZG's 6mm not votoms to. Here are some of mine
The ones with the red shoulders are actually Blockhead mercs from Critical Mass but they go really well with the GZG models imo. The rules set I've been using is Grunts though I have been toying with the idea of giving Dreampod Nine's Heavy gear a whirl. Here's some of the cards I made for Grunts

Glad you guys liked it. Sean Patten's Necromundicon (now ironhands.com) is pretty much my bible for terrain. He's the reason that almost all of my terrain is made from second hand toys and junk bits. |

You could even use some of the DP9 HG figures for it, like the Adder, which looks like a Turtle/Tortois, and the Hunter has blocky shoulders like a Scopedog. I have some of the Takara 1/144 scale models, some of which come with vehicles like an ATFly and Balarant AT Shuttle. They're too small for 15mm, but work great with 12mm figures. Might try some Battletech prepaints at some point with them. I would LOVE to have some 1/48 VOTOMS models, or 1/100. Love the GZG guys, and have hordes of them. I really wish that the Gasaphon a lot of Japanese companies made was more in-scale. I have some Gundams that range from 1/300 to 1/144 all within the same series. Drives me bonkers
Great campaign, wonder what the next installment will bring us? |
