Hi all!

Okay, I am looking the best Napoleonic British naval officer, in either 40mm or 25mm… someone who really looks swashbuckling! Anyone have a particular figure they are fond of?

Thanks!

I agree with Brigade Games – and here he is painted in my naval unit:

And here I was going to suggest Nelson…

…or Bolitho.

Depends what you mean by Officer – the chap on the left is wearing dress more commonly associated with a Chief Bosun – and is carrying a hanger rather than a sword…I haven't yet found one, in 28mm at least, but this sort of rig might be more appropriate for a Commissioned Officer:

The uniform of the figure on the left of Brigade Game's photo appears to be the same as in the picture of a lieutenant on page 198 of 'The Trafalgar Companion' by Mark Adkin. That's the way I painted the figure too, in my picture above.

The weapon carried by the Brigade officer may well be a 'hanger', but I'm no expert on weapons. I do note he hasn't got any scabbard on, though.

Whatever, I do think he is an officer, and he is very nicely modelled indeed.

Great image Sparker that shows just how dark the real uniform is or rather probably was.

How about this guy? What uniform is this?
