I am painting up the Victrix 54mm British flank company set as the grenadiers of the Newfoundland Fencibles for a friend from "the Rock"

I assume that as the fencibles have blue facings that the drummers have blue coats?

Frederick;
When I painted up my Goofy Newfies, I did it with red coat, blue facings, and lace, as I understood them to be "Royal" Newfies.

But I could be wrong on that.

They had blue facings and officers had gold lace; ref; MAA 319, pg 14

Drummers in regiments with blue facings wore scarlet jackets faced blue; ref Franklin pg 119.

Well, there we are! Very quick response and it means I can paint the drummer's coat just like the other enlisted chaps

Thanks for the great advice
