Thanks for your contribution Paul!

Based on feedback, we've introduced a new pledge for the last few days – a sample pledge that just nets you a single plastic infantry & IFV's sprue.

Thanks for your attention and feedback everyone!

Troublemaker Games26 Jun 2013 2:49 a.m. PST

We hit our £8,000.00 GBP stretch goal, so here's a new stretch goal – If we hit £9,000.00 GBP we'll DOUBLE the £8.00 GBPk stretch rewards.

So everyone who's pledged at least £45.00 GBP will receive TWO free infantry & IFV sprues, and everyone who's pledged £90.00 GBP or more will receive FOUR free infantry & IFV sprues!

Will we go OVER 9000?? Let's find out!

Troublemaker Games26 Jun 2013 1:50 p.m. PST

From the campaign :

35 Hours To Go!

The £9,000.00 GBP stretch goal point is nearly within reach, it's so close that we can almost taste the free plastic sprues for contributors who've pledged £45.00 GBP or more… so what happens when you go "over 9000"?

Well, if we pass £9,000.00 GBP and end up hitting the mighty £10,000.00 GBP, we'll give a free metal Human Supreme Commander and a free metal Alien Supreme Commander to every pledger who's contributed £50.00 GBP or more.

We love you guys; This funding campaign has been amazing.

Here's to the next 35 hours!

BrotherSevej26 Jun 2013 7:58 p.m. PST

I'm out of disposable income this month, but I'll sure get some when this hits your store!

Troublemaker Games27 Jun 2013 12:05 a.m. PST

Thanks BrotherSevej!
They'll be available to purchase direct from Troublemaker Games in a couple of months!

So I checked in on this kickstarter over today, and to my surprise, it's up to £11,523.00 GBP with just eight hours remaining.

Honestly I'm torn on this. I want to pledge, but what you get for your money is ludicrous, to the point where I almost think you're trolling me.

I wanted to pledge like $70 USD-100 on this, and would have, if you guys had been just a little more generous. But seeing what this kickstarter has to offer just makes me want to pass completely.

I even considered dropping my pledge down to get just the grots, but then I realize the entire effort isn't worth it.

Now it seems your stretch rewards are ludicrous, to the point where they are insulting.

"Pledge £30.00 GBP or more and receive a free hardcopy rulebook?" Wow great, a hardcopy rulebook of a game, where I'm just going to use the figures for Epic or Exodus Wars, and a good many other people will as well. I have no interest in this, and I'll wagers other won't as well.

"Pledge £100.00 GBP or more and receieve two sprues of plastic bases?" What the Bleeped text is this?! You're just trolling us at this point. What the Bleeped text am I going to do with round plastic bases, if I play Epic?! For that matter, what am I going to do with plastic bases, with no figures to put on them? This is some masterful trolling.

The free metal Human and Alien Supreme Commander models being given away at the higher stretch goals don't interest me either.

Seriously, you couldn't just toss in an extra sprue with the purchase of a box? That's it? It would have cost you almost nothing, an extra buck per sprue, you mentioned? How can that possibly cost less than a freaking rulebook? Not everyone will want a rulebook for a game they're not even sure they will like, but everyone wants more models.

Plastic sprues are supposed to cost *less* than metal models, but you crow about how your prices are the same, and the fact that they're generic figures at that should bring the price down as well.

Zombicide Season 2 can get away with charging fans full price for the second edition of the game, because they discounted Season 1 and they give away *so* much stuff, and have the option to buy exclusive figures. There's a LOT of value there. Here, none.

As I've said before, it seems like you're trying to have your cake and eat it too, charging GW-esque prices, for non-GW models.

With these latest stretch rewards it just seems like your willfully trolling us at this point.

Get bent, I will NOT be pledging to this kickstarter.

Angel Barracks28 Jun 2013 1:51 a.m. PST

@ ChrisValera.

I think you have missed the real point of a crowdfunder (it is not a KS by the way, so maybe get some correct info before you go slagging people off?).
It is not to get free stuff, it is not a pre-order system, it is to help someone without the financial clout get a project launched.

If you don't want to see the project be a success don't pledge.

If you think the level of rewards are not good enough then don't pledge.

If you are simply trying to get some free stuff that people who buy conventionally later won't, then you are doing it for the wrong reasons.

If you think it is a rip off, then don't pledge.

Insulting the people that are running it by calling them trolls and telling them to get bent is not nice, not only do you insult them, you insult all those that have pledged by questioning their wisdom of backing the project.

It reminds me very much of the crying children who 'hate' GW because they can't afford to buy the GW stuff.
If you can't afford it then get a better paid job, it ain't GWs fault you don't have enough money.

You know what, I would really like a Mercedes S class, I can't afford one though.
But you don't see me slagging Mercedes off for being too expensive, the fact is I can't afford their product.
That is because I don't earn enough.
Not that they are somehow wrong by charging what the market will accept.

You seem to be quite bitter and jealous that you can't afford the toys you want, angry even that you can't afford them…
Simple, don't buy them, get over it and stop making a spectacle of yourself.

Oh and feel free to reply, but for not for my sake, I have stifled you.

Paul S28 Jun 2013 4:10 a.m. PST

I got the impression that this crowdfunder had been more successful than they ever imagined hence the change in tone as the levels got higher. Also, and if you read the comments, the excess was going into additional poses on the sprues, each one of which needs additional funding which is what the call was for.
I've pledged and am very happy with them, especially in discussions (see my earlier note on bases)

Wow, what a jerk that guy was. Stifled as well.
