Have been trying out an idea for a flat pack building system.
Details here: link OK maybe flat-ish pack. Any comments\suggestions welcome as always, cheers AK weeblokes.blogspot.com |

I'd flip your roof over so it goes into the building a little bit, then you don't have to attach the corners. Or else build your stuff with this design: link If you ask he'll give you a blank template. |

Glenn, I think I'm being a bit slow as I don't see what you mean about the roof and the corners. Thanks for the ikube link. I actually already have several of these, and they are very good. This building is to replace my existing Germy paper buildings with foam core buildings however. The flat pack thing was actually a second consideration. My title is pretty poor looking at it again, as it suggests that the main aim of the project was the flat pack bit. My bad. |

The Manoeuvre Group have fold flat terrain and you print as much as you want for a reasonable price. link |

Well I'm not sure my idea would work with Foamcore walls. I thought yours looked odd but my brain didn't place it. Essentially you may the roof a tiny bit smaller than the building and it sinks into the walls rather than going around them, but with the foam board I don't think it will work. |

@ Glen: Ah I see what you mean. The roof in the picture above actually sits completely on top of the walls, although the paper design is indeed meant to go over the outside of the wall. To achieve what you describe you'd just have to do what I did with a couple of the walls and remove a collar of foam core from the underside of the roof piece like this one I did for another project: link I wasn't sure if it would interfere with the corner connectors in this case though. |
