Wappinshaw is the 1st of June in Glasgow – wappinshaw.blogspot.co.uk

As a condition of holding the show in the Kelvin Hall, we require there to be a First Aider present. Alas, no members of the show team have the required certification.

Such help can be hired, but we'd like to reduce/remove that expense if we can.

Anyone local to the area who would be willing to attend the show? We can come to some compensatory arrangement…

We have. £180.00 GBP for the day!
If possible we'd like to do it cheaper – nothing against SJA of course, but that money could go towards hall fees and other costs.

£180.00 GBP could easily pay for a two-day Appointed First Aider course.

Alternatively, try asking the Air Cadets, Army Cadets or similar. Some units do provide first aid cover for a donation to their unit – and they're always a lot cheaper than the SJA. I can't guarantee that there's a unit in your area that will do that sort of cover, but it's always worth a try. As a bonus, offer them a free recruitment stand.

Try your local re-enactment group.

Many of them are wargamers and have FA certs as well.
