Splintered Light will be in Friday evening and stay through Sunday noon or so.
I'll be setting up a large game of PRIDE Saturday morning. It is from the new campaign book DARK AND BLOODY GROUND, and will be the assault by Moonglade's dark elves and orcs and goblins against the Wyldewood settlement of Molehill.
Molehill is home to many halfling and faun colonists, and is supported by the dwarven river fleet. It is stockaded and adjoins a dryads' grove, so is well defended. However, the attackers have a significant preponderance of force.
My plan is to set up first thing, and then teach the rules to anyone interested by playing through the first turn's assault for a part of the perimeter. Hopefully by evening we will have half a dozen participants who know or have newly learned the rules and can then continue with the rest of the attack.
One never knows, but when I have gamed this at home Moonglade is able to break into the settlement in several places on the first two or three turns, but suffers heavy casualties. The defenders then can retreat to the grove or to the riverfront for evacuation, or try to hang on in pockets of resistance centered on the stockade towers. So it should be exciting.
