Hi guys, sorry about the crap pics, here are my WIP Death Riders, the original figures were Napoleonic Wurtembergers, I wanted them to have czapkas (hats) so gave them head swaps with some surplus Polish infantry, the lances without fanions will have paper fanions added, any ideas on how to paint the horses? I want them to look a little creepy and unnatural, as they are hairless bio engineered organisms. link

Now that's a whacky conversion project, nice one! The sickly horses colours could be pale and ghastly. I've had nice (in a horrible way) results mixing Goblin Green with Dheneb Stone and adding lighter highlights. But you could perhaps try mixing a pale blue with the 'Stone. Whatever, I'd like to see your end results. Regards, TC. |

If they're bio-engineered "Horseoids" you might go the way of the hairless lab mouse:

Looks like a fun project!

Looking forward to seeing what sort of paint job you do here. Think you'll go gritty-gothic on the riders, or bright and parade-style? |

The riders will be field grey, with pink facings. |
