I hate to be a pain always asking about scales but I wanted to know what Irregular and Elite might be compatible with.So far I've found that Conquest/Perry/Old Glory/Foundry work pretty well together.Redoubt/GM/Front Rank/Crusader/North Star go well together.Blue Moon and Thunder Mountain are in a class by themselves,RAFM are smaller than most.I'm talking about 25/28mm size.Elite and Irregular look like they have some decent sculpts.I wish these online shops would put more pictures on their sites.

Rafm fits with RSM, which are also on the 'Old 25" size.

Sgt. Major's fits in well with the Front Rank figures.

Eureka's FIW Provincials & George Washington and Highlanders are compatible with the Perry figures.

How about Elite and Irregular, who do they fit with?

I have some Irregular, and they're about the height/bulk of the Conquest/Perry/Old Glory/Foundry class. I think the Irregular are less detailed sculpts, and more stiffly posed.

Rafm fits with RSM, which are also on the 'Old 25" size.

Funny you should say that. I just added an RSM drummer to a battalion of Old Glory Wayne's Legion, and he looks fine. The RSM guy is little more slender than the OG, but not much and he's the right height.

On the other hand, I have several units where I mix RSM and Rafm, and *they* look okay together. The RSM are a little taller than the Rafm, but not jarringly so, and their heft is similar. I notice, though that Rafm muskets are shorter and chunkier than RSM.

Finally, I added that same RSM drummer (in the light infantry cap) to a batch of 2nd generation Minifigs, and *they* look fine.

Maybe I'm just too easy.

Galloping Major are large size (I'd call them 30mm figures) – they go well with Redoubt, North Star and Front Rank.
It's hard to tell how tall the Old Glory guys are as most of them are in strange hunched-over poses, but I think they are smaller.

Blue Moon 28mm(/30mm) are great, IMHO…

I have now bought some Redoubt to go with my Northstar, but am worried that the Irregular and Conquest minis I have also ordered will be too small to mix in?

marco56 Supporting Member of TMP18 May 2013 4:42 p.m. PST

They will be smaller but you could put them in their own units.

Thanks Mark, thry will be in own units but the pictures I have seen make them a whole head shorter – may use another make and sell these on
Maybe AW?

I have 2 dioramas I am making and I'm using the larger figures for one and the smaller ones for the other.

Just got a pack of Warlord/Conquest Reg French – they mix with the Northstar Indians perfectly and are close enough to the Northstar Marines/CdB to be OK
Sculpting wise they are not quite as detailed as Nortstar but they should paint up OK

Received my Irreg Minis- Austrian 3pdr and crew – they are nice sculpts but as big as the biggest Northstar and a whole head bigger than my Conquest minis
