If you're in the Northern VA, drop on by. Link to directions included. I'm running Victory at Sea, which is not exactly going to give anyone wrinkles, but I think it's great for a mini-con game, especially with newbies.

Any land games?

Why only 5 hours?

Ask Tim! I'm hoping they let us go long. I haven't seen a PEL yet but I have no doubt there will be some land games on it.

It's at Knights of Columbus hall, and I think they use it for something on Saturday Mornings, but the price is low, and it's centrally-located for those in NOVA, so not a bad choice. Tim will know if there are any evening activites that limit going longer, as he is a member of the KoC.

I think it's probably because people tend to play in just one game of 4-5 hours, socialize a bit and head home for dinner.

I got this from Tim Tilson in the email last night.

"The deadline for the PEL is Friday. A final PEL will published early next week. Currently there are seven games as follows:

SYW Land x1
Colonial x1
WWI Naval x1
WWII Naval x1 (two if necessary)
WWII Land x2
Fantasy Land x1

We start at 1:00 pm so people can take of errands/soccer etc in the am. Since this is not a library we can stay as late as we want. A 6:00 pm end time is about right as most games will be done by then. And yes the price is the major determiner. We are not paying a set fee. Instead we will take all the $ from the admissions fees and donate that to the Knights of Columbus council."
