So

As my final parts of my kickstarter head out the door (hopefully) by the end of the week, I should be spending more time on my follow up forces. The first of which will be the Euro Force Germans.

Here's a couple of heads Im going to use and a converted Infantry man. I need to get the heads mastered so I can add them to the troops. I find it easier to get a few heads ready, master them for consistency.

oooh interesting, are there bigger shots on the blog thingy?

Armiesarmy14 May 2013 12:55 p.m. PST

oh and a sneak peak of my Asian pact forces

This is one of two helmets Im looking to try out. The second will have an extended front and rear rim, however I am tempted to go with this one

As always comments welcome

These are looking nice… although the Asian Pact one reminds me of a tanker's helmet… have you thought about a visor across the top front half?

deflatermouse14 May 2013 3:13 p.m. PST

anything with gasmasks planned?

Armiesarmy15 May 2013 2:06 a.m. PST

If I go with the second option, that's what these may end up as. Ill stick some side photos in as I can so you can see the length of it

Gas masks for the Chinese? I will have a version with gas mask respirators for all figures one day. I also have a set of greens ready and waiting for more conversions. Some of them have generic gas masks. I'm not sure if Ill sell them as separate heads yet, as to actually recover my costs against likely sales numbers they will need to be over priced.

Nice work Keith. Lots of character for such tiny wee things!

I am quite fond of the four-lens look. There are plenty of visor heads already available and it is a very interesting way to differentiate the force.

ah, keith, you can do no wrong ; )

I can see why you're tempted by that asian pact head, but I really, really (REALLY) like the extended rims that we saw in the concept art. Do whatever you want; I tend to end up loving it no matter what, and believe me, you have made things I didn't like – but only at first (ok, I'm just talking about the spetznaz rifles, but now I think they are AWESOME). It's just that I feel that that head is too "standard;" It doesn't have quite the character that those asian pact sketches or your other designs have.

But…it's so cool… maybe a generic militia head pack or something? or it could be the ChiCom "militia" helmet?

Armiesarmy15 May 2013 5:54 a.m. PST

Agreed fritadas, the extended rims is the look I wanted more like the initial concept art. I'm thinking these could be used for something else entirely like brazil or Indian forces or as you said 'militia' forces
Happy to listen to what near war troops people would like to see!
Thanks all

I also liked the 'extended' pact helmets, but the current one ALSO looks good; I'd second the calls for making it a militia or smaller military concept.

I'm really looking forward to the Brazilian troops, when you get around to them.

Keith,
Will any of these be a Kickstart project?Could you please post when they become avaliable for order Kickstart or otherwise?

Thanks
Dennis

Hi

I'm still to decide on the kickstarter, if I do then ill have to up shipping and pack prices a little to recover costs. If I don't then it will take a little longer to release as I do them when I can afford them and will be released through black hat miniatures.

I'll probably do euro forces first
Chinese Asian pact forces
Brazilian
Indian
USA

This might change as and when I get more ideas :)

The Germans seem to be shaping up really well. The crotch plate looks a tas inconvenient but I am sure it is still a WIP

Balaclava heads are awesome. I would love the option to have entire squads with them. Also, it would be nice to have thinner bases (the Brits are positively towering over all of my other models because of the extra ~2mm)

Armiesarmy16 May 2013 2:05 p.m. PST

Ill see what I can do about the bases, its mostly for an ease in casting and removing them. The crotch plate is very similar to modern day German pictures I've seen and its pretty much the only piece men want protecting! :)
