OK all you wargamers… I have recently designed a game about the civil war in Haiti 1867-1870. It is based on my my book "Warships of Salnave's War".

the game, Salnave's war, is Military, Economic and Political game that represents the event that occurred in Haiti form 1867 to 1870. The period of Haitian history called Salnave's war by some and The War of the Cacos by others saw Haiti split into three competing states and both brilliant naval strategies and inept anti-insurgency campaigns.

If you are interested in new and different theaters of war give this a chance. here is the link to the kickstater campaign.

give me some comment and I will answer any questions about the game and or the topic. Thanks in Advance.

Loved the book, and looking to do this as a campaign using 1/600 or 1/1200 minis sometime soon(ish). If I was into board games I could be sorely tempted. Might be anyway!

I'm guessing it isn't really restricted to shipping within the US……?

Huh… I swear, wargaming has opened so much to me -- in the last couple of years Indian Mutiny, Taiping Rebellion, Maximillian in Mexico, its amazing. I never knew about this at all.

Looks like an interesting book. Are there any on the land campaigns?

David, Yes the kickstater says only us shipping but, i have come to realize that I should expand this. I am sure we can work out shipping to distance lands.

Bad Genaral,

There are land campaigns…I am working on articles about two of the most interesting ones. My book mentions them in the overall description of the war. The game simulates the overall strategic conflict. the artwork for the game hopefully will include uniform and unit information.

I like obscure stuff but I don't think I've even heard of this.
