YouTube link This fellow has a series of videos on YouTube which detail how he makes 3D architectural models, using Foamcore board, as well as some neat tools, and tricks [white masking(?) tape for joins, blue painter's tape for temporary jobs, double-sided tape, cutting tools, and various assembly techniques]. I learned quite a bit from watching #4 in his series, then I went back to #1, in the link above, where he explains some of the tools, and techniques he used in #4. Virtually all of his techniques can be adapted to gaming purposes. I plan to try out some of his methods soon, which will allow me to produce even better results -- no sense travelling the well-worn path, when you can learn from someone else who has already traversed the learning curve roadway
I hope it will prove useful to others. Cheers! |
