"The Air Force took another step forward with its newest fighter jet when an advanced F-35 Lightning II landed at the service's lead training base, home to the largest fleet of F-35s worldwide.

The new stealth fighter kicks off a major training effort at the F-35 schoolhouse on an aircraft with unmatched capabilities.…"

What is the tuition at the F-35 schoolhouse?

If you have to ask . . .

"….on an aircraft with unmatched capabilities".

Sounds like some are being duped by the marketing propaganda.

Reminds me of the F-18 SuperHornet, which isn't…….

Ah well, hopefully, they'll eventually get the bugs worked out, before they have to cancel it, due to vertically spiraling costs which are going up fast enough to make even a Thunderbird pilot's head spin.

Nice spin on that story for a plane that we can't afford and doesn't outperform anything it is replacing.

Perhaps they mean "unmatched" in the opposite sense, e.g. in abysmal, and outclassed by many other types.

Sounds like it's kick ass! Who counts pennies when that kind of kickery is available? Interesting how they can put the maintenance info on the plane and all that, don't they have some fancy computer they hook my car up to? Oh yeah, that's been around for a few years.

I like the sensors idea, but not sure about the maintenance and computer parts supply ordering system.

Apparently the latter has its own vulnerabilities in time of war, and still isn't ready, last I heard. There were rumors it might hold up the program further.
