The beast of the channel fleet this model is 1:2400 from good old tumbling dice, as you can see she has bags of character. This project is a bit of a back burner one for me at the moment, but I'm looking forward to getting some French or possibly more realistically Russians to square off against. except there aren't any Russian by TD at the moment, so that will involve some scratch building which I'm not totally sure I'm up to.

Can you mention how you made that great looking sea board?

Ben Walton13 May 2013 1:53 p.m. PST

Dark blue Gloss tile paint over a paint mixed with copydex glue to get the texture. Then a bit of dry brushing to taste and then black wash to blend it and hay presto you have a sea board :)

its basically the same method as the one described in warhamer historicals trafalgar rules except I use gloss paint as the base coat…

lots of pepole have asked how it was made i was thinking of doing them to sell, only thing is the postage would make it impossible.

All I can say is it really is easier than you think

Great job. I haven't painted my "Minotaur" yet. Perhaps this will spur me on.

Thanks shagnasty, she took longer than normal to paint its all the sails, masts and spars :)
