Hi, What figures would you recommend in 28mm for Carthaginian Hoplites for the Greek-Punic/Sicilain Wars? link
I was thinking of using either A&A citizen spearmen (http://www.aandaminiatures.co.uk/view_product/?p=78) or more probably Renegades Libyan Spearmen (http://www.renegademiniatures.com/libyan.htm). I'd give these guys proper hoplite spears from Aventine. |

IMHO,I would use Crusader, Old Glory and Gorgon. I use those figures for my Punic Wars figures! I forgot Aventine figures also! Mike Adams |

Have a look at the Relic Miniatures options as well. Some nice figures there. I also like the Gorgon Etruscan chariot as a command figure. link Garry |

Thanks Mike and Garry. I think Relic's are nice but the long sleeved tunics on their Libyans may be too late in style for using as Hoplites. I like the Crusader figures. They look very like A&A's range. I will be getting some of Aventine's Magna Grecia Hoplites. I just wish they had a few more poses than just the over-arm attack. |
