being one of those people who wants to know where sculptors come from, who they worked for before or where they have gone to and since when theyre sculpting, i thought it might be cool to have some sort of listing. i.e.; mark copplestone; citadel-grenadier-foundry-copplestone castings. brian nelson ; from nowhere to citadel

I agree with area23, always liked the Grenadier barbarians. Just last year I found out that they were sculpted by Mark Copplestone, better known from his Darkest Africa miniatures (when I started wargames 10 years ago I was more interested in the 'cool' looking miniatures than in the sculpter). I think it would be interesting to know who sculpted certain miniatures, especially for collectors. Sometimes it seems to me that 50% of the miniatures around are sculpted by the Perry Twins!!! |

It would also be interesting to see which sculptors were available to perform freelance work and in what scales and periods they would be prepared to accept any commissions. |

I think it’s a great idea to have a sculptors list on TMP and I think we should have a poll to see if anyone else wants it too. It would be great to have a bio of sculptors who they work for and who they have worked for and what they have done. PJ |

If only 50% of the figs were done by the Perrys! Copplestone should receive knighthood! |

I agree , a sculptor list would be great and more in line with the theme of this site. (miniatures and miniature gaming). free lance sculptors ....yes sir I like it! |

yes it would be great, at least just barebones info on many of the most prominent. a little bio (or auto-bio) would be nice. so whos going to do all the work putting it all together? |

Amazon Miniatures already feature our sculptors on our website - perhaps your wish is for more bio details but at least it is a start. The link is a bit hidden at the moment - trying to improve that - but you will find it on www.amazonminiatures.com go to "What's New" / "Magazine" / "Sculptors" |

Jacksdad - will run the poll this coming week, letting people vote for the "top 5" improvements they would like to see. |
