Played a game of Black Powder using a scenario from the Albion Triumphant (Vol1) book. Hadn't played for a while so this was a nice reintroduction to the game system. Had a great time playing. Photos and more up on my blog at: link

Nice report Jay and a good looking game altogether.

I am thinking of trying BP for Napoleonics. How long did it take you to play the game?

Great photos and a wonderful set up you have there. Didn't read the report as you give away the conclusion in the introduction.

@Garryowen: We played the game in about 3 hours. We bumbled our way through remembering the rules (we've played may rule sets over the years … they start to blend together after long breaks in between) – it would have gone much quicker had we played more recently --- but I would say about 1/2 way through the game we got back in the saddle as they say. If you are going play using BP, get the expansion books … they are what adds the period flavor into the game.
