I was finally able to complete two units of Republican Roman Velites this morning. The figures are by Aventine, and they were fantastic to paint.

You really nailed it with the colour pallet and shading. Some of the best figures in the scale I have seen in a long time. Top shelf old man top shelf!

Great paint job Jonathan – have used the same guys as skirmishers in my Pontic army. May convert some of the Aventine rock throwers as well.
