The cone-shaped Bell Tent was a common type of tent used by many armies in the 18th & 19th century. The tents in this kit are modeled after the British Army tents of the late 19th century, but they would also serve as the Sibley Tents of the American Civil War or for many others. PaperTerrain now offers this classic tent. The 10/12mm scale tents are 1 1/4" in diameter and 1 1/8" high and they come 30 to a set. The 15mm scale tents are 1 3/4" in diameter and 1 5/8" high and come 20 tents to a set. The 20mm tents are 2 3/8" in diameter and are 2 1/4" high and come 20 tents to a set. The 25/28mm tents are 3" in diameter and 2 3/4" high and come 10 tents to a set. All sets are $15.00 USD.

Very nice! Any chance of getting a Marquee tent for the commander?

Flintloque, How do you define a marquee tent?

Nice! Think I need a 'few' sets for my Shenanigans in Baluchistan. And much cheaper than resin or pewter.

Flintloque, so basically the same but with taller side panels?

Tommy2012 May 2013 4:14 p.m. PST

No, it's also elongated, so the top has a ridge pole. There are three in the pic, two on the left, one on the right. They're larger, and used as headquarters, hospitals, and most importantly, the officer's mess…

Ah, on my monitor I was only seeing the bright end of the tent on the left and mistakenly saw it as just a taller conical bell tent. Looking more closely I see what you are saying. I can probably do something like that in paper. I will see what i can do.

Those are nice, and most economical.
