Hello everyone, just need some help IDing these miniatures, there 15mm there Roman, but I cannot find which manufacturer makes them, a page on the net suggested that they might be Essex, but I could not find them on that site, please help, really would like to know

Definitely not Essex – I have all their Polybian Roman foot and they do not look like the figurs in your pic. |

I confirm they are Donnington, I have a Polybian Roman army made with these miniatures. |

Thank you to everyone that replied, I have found them on the Donnington site, I burned an evening trying to find out who makes these, any chance of some close up photos of these little babies, the pics on the Donnington site are rubbish, thanks again all. |

Donnington's old castings are hit and miss. I would get a few samples first. They weren't bad when they were first released. I still have some Italians with Roman officers which are pretty good. Their Italian range is huge. I liked their Greek and Italian hoplites when they first came out. They had a nice large shield, an upright spear that was easy to modify, and a lot of variety. If I was doing these today I would replace the hoplite spears. |
