Haven't seen too many pics of these yet, with paint on them.

Must say I'm a bit partial to the one done in a nice medium blue, with a gray helmet. I really like the overall effect, and the metallic look of his weapon.

I'm a bit on the fence, as usual, considering a variety of them, including perhaps even several different ones to denote a couple of different units (perhaps a bright, garish scheme to denote an elite one).

So, what paint schemes are you planning to use for your troops?

Feel free to post pics, if you have them.

Nice work, I hope to see more of these in different colors myself. I plan for a few sets myself and will do one set in the traditional red colors for Traveller games

I was thinking about at least one unit in red, for the same reason.

My rationale is that they will be the elite of the elite, having accomplished the highest kill to loss ratio of any unit in the Imperial Marines, so they've earned the right to wear the crimson red colors.

The emperor believes that other units coveting such recognition, will be inspired on to perform better in the field as well.

Others will probably be a more traditional green camo, or similar, neutral colors to match the terrain in which they are fighting.

I painted my GZG UNSC hard suits (old 25mm) black under coat with heavy white dry brush to leave lines and flex joints black and UN blue helmets and details. After all, they are 'Peace Keepers' so they are meant to be seen, so people can avoid shooting them (or not).

I've seen some on-line CG art of them in a light gray/white overall, and they look quite nice in that scheme, so was thinking about giving it a try too.

I like the cream casing Mako11 has given the rifle.

That's not my mini, sadly.

I only hope to be able to paint figs half as nice as that.

Looks like a polished metal finish to me, for the rifle.
