My other hobby is bicycling and I use this site bikejournal.com/preview.asp to keep track of miles time and other stuff. link

Should TMP have a section to put things like the painting pledge or a database of members miniature collections?

Interesting idea but I use the favorites function on my PC or Word/Excel for this so don't know that I see the need.

I guess it could but it may be a lot of work for Bill.

Should it? No. I don't view gaming as a painting or collecting competition. I don't know what percentage of people will put their figs in a database but I know it will not be 100%. Why do I care what is in the collection of a guy I will almost certainly never see or game with?

I click on blog links that grab my attention but I don't understand the point of your suggestion.

I wouldn't use it.

Me either, though I can see it might be of use to burglars, looking for rare, or expensive collections.

I don't think we should. Collecting isn't really meant to be a competitive hobby. At least not beyond a small group.
As John says, It's of no interest to me.

@Mako. I thought of that as well.

Don't we have "the Pledge" that several here post periodically? I am not sure we need a separate board (Did I really say that?) but I think TMP talk or Wargaming General is a place to share that type information. That or a separate blog that you link to.

Ok then as poll choices we have
1. No, I wouldn't use it.
2. No, It's not worth the effort to set up and maintain.
3. No, We already have forums that are more useful/better,
4. Yes, my other hobby is Burglary and this would be a great resource.

I don't use Bike Journal as a competitive tool but more for inspiration and tracking so wasn't looking from that angle.

Mako11, good point! I might have to go make my BJ private:-)

This was just a thought that occurred to me as I started to organize my miniatures and find ways to motivate my self to paint.

Thanks.

I don't understand what it is supposed to achieve? What is this obsession with statistics, especially in sport? Statistics is maths and nobody does that for fun!!!

6) Don't make me get my flying monkeys after you for suggesting more work for Dear Editor!

Grand Duke Natokina12 May 2013 5:11 p.m. PST

I probably would not use it.

i can see a number of members becoming very competitive and showing off their collections simply to boost their own egos. Not for me Thank you
