Hi, I just finished the review of the nice plastic 20mm T-26 A & B Light Tank boxed set of the Spanish company Minairons Miniatures and was again pleased by the quality and fast to build qualities of this boxed set. Interested in the full review and some sprue pictures and a scale comparison take a look at my blog here:

Looking for some opposition for these tanks? Take a look at these reviews of the plastic Panzer I's and Bilboa armoured car of Minairons Miniatures.

Very nice review. My second T-26 is on the paint desk now. Lovely model at a good price.

Accurate ewview indeed, my friend. True what you comment about the crewman. It was our first experience at designing a human figure, still learning from such starting essay!

Thanks,
Lluís

Hi, thanks for the nice comments!

@Thomas: Looking forward in seeing your painted examples!
@Lluis: No problem, the commanders are a nice touch for an already great set.

Cheers

Are the T-26 dimensions actually 1/72 scale?

Thomas Nissvik12 May 2013 10:54 p.m. PST

Here is the first one I painted.

Second one soon to come.

Nice one Thomas! The T-26 model kit is scaled 1/72 but can't confirm they are true 1/72.

Cheers

I measured my T-26 last night. I made it 6,5cm. Multiply by 72 and you get 468cm or 4,68m. Wikipedia gives 4,65m so well within possible measurement error on my part.

Thanks Thomas for measuring the tank up and confirming the correctness of the mentionned scale!

At last! Where (in the US) can I buy them?

Lluis Vilalta03 Jun 2013 3:03 a.m. PST

As far as I know, you have two possible sources at least:

Pat Condray's Historical Products Company (HPC), ebhpc.com/. Their website isn't listing them yet, but they've been supplied by us with a pretty large stock. Drop an e-mail to Pat himself for getting acknowledged.

Michigan Toy Soldier Company, michtoy.com --who're already showing them on their website.

These latter have been supplied in turn by Stevens International, NJ --who are distributors of Minairons products in the US. So I figure that any American retailer getting his stocks from Stevens Intl. might help you.

Best wishes,
Lluís

Thanks Lluis, my local store gets all his stock from Stevens so I won't have to pay shipping! Been waiting for these a long time for my 1941 Red Army forces and look forward to getting them soon.

I'll chuck in some blog-pimping since it is for a good cause:

Buy more of these, people. Make Lluis rich and powerful and able to release many more wonderful kits.
