Hi guys I placed an order a while back with Lancashire games for some 15mm Carthaginians for my birthday. I ordered some heavy spear, some medium spear, heavy cavalry and a pack of mounted generals. They included a sample of Spanish light horse as well.I was a little dubious as the pictures on the site were a bit blurry and the models were cheaper than most of the other mini companies. I was pleasantly surprised when I got my hands on them. The heavy spear are excellent, reminds my of an illustration I saw of Carthaginian sacred band.Clean and crisp with a nice stance. The medium spear are nice models, long spears and feather headresses. The cavalry have spears and remind me of greek xystophori. The mounted generals are one piece castings in two poses. The Spanish light horse are in two poses and have a nice feel to them, armed with spears and lightly equipped. All in all, very pleased with What I got, lovely figures at very good prices.I can only speak for the 15mm Carthaginians, but will definetly be ordering from Lancashire games again.I will post pictures on my blog when I get them painted. I like many of Lancashire's figures. For some reason they always look worse on their website than they do in real life |
