Dates: 13, 14 and 30 April 1903
Location: Channelside House and Fort Grant
Situation: Col. Chartwell reports to Gen. Pettygree
-----

Every May I host a birthday game day with two to three mid-sized games. This year we had one French and Indian War battle plus two linked Colonial battles.

The address below features the Colonial actions; First is a cavalry scout using the entire 9th Bengal Lancers. Second is the mad Guru's escalade of Fort Grant. Storming forts with ladders is so very much fun for players.

Read all about it as Col. Chartwell reports details to retired General Pettygree, late of Surajistan where the Guru is making a comeback – the fiend!

You will see the usual briefly captioned photos and Mrs. Mary Pettygree too.

Respectfully,
Bill

Ripping yarn, as always, even if my notorious namesake did get a bit of a thrashing!

Happy Birthday, Bill, and many happy returns! Is today -- May 11th -- your Birthday…? I ask because it happens to be mine.

Always a pleasure. The family portraits on the walls at Channelside are a truly ingenious touch. Bill, myou are a master at this.
