I like it… Has a real "Planetes" feel to it. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Planetes

I doubt you'd kill enough of the velocity of the space station in order to put it into a re-entry window or any of those people flung off. Could be wrong, but I thought the station was high enough with a high enough velocity to counter an episode as this.

Suffocation or vac'd for the lady flung out there…man..that's gonna really suck as a choice of death.

Yet another potential case made for micronizing the MMU.

As well as going to a tension suit rather than a pressure suit, for that matter.

Very cool to see a film without the typical alien attack of uber-disaster. Something on a typical mission basis is cool.

Ye gads. Had no idea the ISS decayed that much!

Man. One more strike against it.

According to the vertical axis on the plot, the difference between the highest point and the lowest point comes out to be about 15 miles with a mean height in the vicinity of 240 miles. The biggest change in the orbital height were the two burns last August where the station's height was raised a bit under 7 miles. The burns take place about every two weeks.

So it's not going to come down overnight, but wouldn't be able to stay up more than several months without those burns. As for the movie preview, I'd like to learn more about the premise.
