Are these reiters apt for the 1550s, or are they a slightly different period?
And are they reasonably accurate, even with artistic licence – or is there a bit too much fantasy involved? Cheers Paul |

I think the horse trappings are a bit elaborate, but the men look right. What make are these models? Assuming they are a large scale figure. |

Way to much fantasy details with some things that are just plain wrong like the hats. Doesn't help that the painter has made errors like painting the swords like they are carried without scabbards. |

The 54mm reiters were done by Chart Figurines. No longer available. For mid-16thC reiters there's this look (k & l):

It's the Rennaisance.I'm sure there could be some individuals with some money who liked to be flashy then as well as now.I wouldnt do a whole group like that, though. |

A wonderfull paintjob, but the horses will really suffer from these swords and I wonder how the second rider will store his spiked mace when his shoulder gets tired – that one is crying out "Impractical" at a high pitch :-) If, however, I could paint half that well I would be ten times better then now :-) |
