My name is Jason and I am the owner of Revolutionary Roads. I am also the owner of the wargaming bloghost 6sided.net.

I have been making my "revolutionary roads" for a while for my own use. Recently I decided to look at how I could ramp-up the production levels to allow others to benefit from their properties.

Roads have always been a problem for me as a wargamer. They are either too rigid, they flake, they are a chore to cut and construct, or they are very expensive to buy in resin or moulded rubber. I have found roads to be the single most difficult pieces of wargames terrain to obtain that satisfied my needs.

So I decided to make my own using an idea I had tucked away in my head for several years. That is where the recipe for my wargaming roads came from.

As wargames terrain, I think the roads are pretty unique, especially in terms of the value for money they offer. They are a laminated construction that produces a flexible, durable, pre-coloured terrain piece.

Over the coming months I will be expanding the ranges and will also be selling "revolutionary rivers" that will allow you to buy an entire ready-to-use road and river system for around £100.00 GBP ($150).

For the next three days, until orders start shipping, you can pre-order the first releases at 10% off the retail price.

I am impressed by the rigorous design testing process!

Any plans to do urban roads?

EC- not sure what you mean by "urban". There are two surfaces colours: dirt and metalled (grey). Did you mean metalled?

VonTed – yes, it actually was a serious test. If the test sections could survive an afternoon being dragged around the patio by a toddler, then they should stand up to the rigours of a wargamers touch!

I meant city streets. Concrete or asphalt with center lines. Like this:

EC – nope, not yet. It is on the list, but it's a very long list at the moment. But I may be able to get them out this year at some stage. It's getting the "forumla" right that is taking the time on each release.
