The game looks very good. You can still visit the battlefield though it is not sign posted. Magnesia, now an archeological park, is on the main road to Ephesus in western Turkey. The reducing wall built to keep out the Sassanid Persians is still standing to about 15 feet. The terrain outside the city is as flat as a pancake with very steep hills rising around the valley edge. The river has cut its course through the valley floor. Well worth a visit if you get the chance. |
