We had our first 'learning' game of M&T last night.
A British force consisting of units of Roger's Rangers, Gorham's Rangers and Pennsylvania Provincials raided into the Ohio valley to burn a French Settlement with the side plot of releasing a previously captured British officer being held there (obviously *before* setting light to the building he was in). The French had a unit of Compagnies Franches (deployed as regulars for this game) with Coureurs des Bois and Indians off table coming on as reinforcements. They had aside plot of trying to capture another British soldier.

Excellent little game. Took about 90 minutes; in the end the British were a bit unlucky; French reinforcements came on early, and the card sequence was such that the British charge out of the woods took a devastating volley. Could easily have gone the other way.

Very nice set of rules, and the side plots and random events give a lot of flavour to the game
