Hi,
Really new to painting so thought. Would try my hand at some 28 mm for a start. Problem is I can't make out the backpacks on perrys fn10 figures

Does anyone have a good link to French fusilier in greatcoat showing backpack variations?

If I remember rightly , they are wearing greatcoats ….. The packs would be made from cow hide and in this group the Perrys have moulded things like firewood , spare shoes etc on the packs

Thanks,
It was the other bits and pieces on the backpacks I couldn't work out. A it strange but seems like bowls, and firewood like welly1815 says ;)

I also believe there may be a canteen or some sort of mess tin on the back as well. Nice looking figures, just a shame the plastic box set has a great coats mixed in instead of keeping them separate if needed.
