Hi again,
We've updated our blog with game shots from a Wild West game we had.
Enjoy the pics.

Great looking town you have there!

Cheers Morrigan – I really enjoyed making it.
The roof shingles were laser cut on really thin card. They are from Warbases and come as an A4 sheet. Turned the nightmare of doing the roofs into a simple task. The window panes also came from warbases.

Great looking town! How many buildings would a single warbases shingle sheet cover?

Thanks,

John

Hi John, I reckon you could get 3 buildings out of one sheet. If you run short you could leave a gap and cover the gap with a tarp nailed in place with batons – gives the roof more character.

Sweet stuff, Simon!

I really need to put a western game table together. I've got a shed-load of figures for it and I can look out my window for inspiration for buildings . . .

Shawn.

I never thought how tactical a western game could be. Legends of the old west has a really simple set of mechanics but if you mess up your subtle positioning of figs it can all go 'pear shaped' very quickly. Deciding whether or not to 'fan' can make all the difference.

Thanks a lot. I just ordered several sets. I can now readily do shingles! It's always been a pain in the past.

I appreciate the info.

I do shingles in strips using thin card. It is fiddly – a ready made product might show up how shonky my construction is though:)

Awesome stuff. While I adore some of my laser-cut buildings, I do get a lot of joy out of building simple stuff, like fences, water towers etc.

I like the pile of timber/logs. Something I've been meaning to assemble for my town! Great lookin' town. Now get yourself a better rule set! Those figs deserve something more than LOTOW. :D
