Hey guys So I've got a couple boxes of Victrix French Infantry, 1807-12, and I've also got some flags for the Duchy of Berg regiments. I was wondering how far off the Victrix French would be from Berg's uniforms? I've seen a couple posts that touch on the subject, but no real specific answer. I'm not too concerned about smaller details, but if it's completely off, I won't bother. Thanks -Scott |

Victrix would not be appropriate for most Berg Infantry. While Berg adopted a french style uniform in 1808, the cut is actually very close to the Bardin uniform of the later years. However the 3rd Regiment seemed to have wore the French early 'habit-veste' in 1808, but with light blue plumes for fusilliers, which Victrix would be appropriate for. So in short, if you do the 3rd regiment you're fine. Great looking uniform, too. You can see examples of the uniform here : link Iannick clashofempires.ca Par la bouche de mes canons : link |
